Grandmother was amazing in the kitchen. She’d go to the Amish farms first thing in the morning if she was going to have us over for lunch... she’d get fresh chicken to make chicken salad, and fresh eggs for her famous deviled eggs. Everything was always homemade, including her amazing iced tea with fresh squeezed orange juice.
My Grandfather (“Murray”) was in the Coast Guard, and she took very good care of him, whether he was in the service or not. He was always the absolute love of her life. They would take Fran and me camping all over in their RV, especially Indian River Inlet.
Grandmother was very active in the Marshallton Grange, as well as the Chester County Hospital and Marshallton Fire Company Auxillaries. She was very service oriented and always treated people with respect and kindness.
She raised our Mom (who passed away in 99), who had just as big of a personality as Grandmother. She also was a very loving mother to our “Pops” (dad - passed away 2 years ago), who came from Indonesia. Her love is eternal. Her heart was always so full as a grandmother, and then a great grandmother.
She went to school in Cambridge, MA and worked with the Girl Scouts for years.
Blanche will be laid to rest on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Bradford Cemetery in Marhsallton at 1:30PM. Friends are welcome to livestream HERE.
