George Doughty Miller (7/19/1934 – 7/18/2018) died peacefully on July 18, 45 minutes short of his 84th birthday. George was the loving husband of Alice Miller; brother of the late Russell Miller Jr; son of the late Russell and Irene Miller; father of George Jr (Christine), Steven (Lorraine), and Ronald (Ellen); and grandfather of ten grandchildren: Cosmo, Alex, and Evan; Morgan, Madison, Miranda, and Mason; and Jordan, Rachel, and Stephanie. He is survived by his wife, sons, and grandchildren.
George grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attended Dobbins Technical High School and then worked as a union cabinetmaker for his full career. George also served in the U.S. Army and was a proud, honorary member of the Lebanon Fire Company. George was married to Alice for 61 years and shared many fond memories together with their three sons: spending time in the Poconos, camping around the U.S., many trips to Disney World, and everyday adventures raising busy boys and their many pets.
George will be remembered for his hearty laugh, his hard work, his infectious smile, his remarkable craftsmanship, his persistence through trials, his peculiar food preferences, and most of all his genuine and loving heart.
